KALOOB launched by Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo; shows works of 5 Ilonggo artists
KALOOB, A Series of Grateful Exhibition was launched by Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo. The Iloilo-leg is part of Marriott Manila’s charity art exhibition dubbed as the “Art of Giving: Make it your piece of heart.”
KALOOB is also part of the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative in partnership Rotary Club Passport One in collaboration with One Gallery which will run from July 25 until August 31, 2024.
A portion of the fund that will be raised from every art piece sold will go to the chosen beneficiary of Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo through the Marriott Worldwide Business Councils – The Philippines, and philanthropic endeavors of Rotary Club Passport One, while showcasing the works of world-class Filipino visual artists.
“Art of Giving” is a synergistic project with Rotary Club Passport One, Marriott Hotel Manila and Marriott Worldwide Business Councils – The Philippines which was launched in November 2022.
Currently, Art of Giving has an ongoing art display at the “Link by Marriott” also carrying the theme, “Grateful Exhibitions” featuring the artists: Celeste Lecaroz, Raymond Cruz, Jovel Ruivivar, Fil Dumalo III, Manny Buñag, Meroy Castrillo, Eugie Varona Dela Cruz, and Joelito Pagalan.
The Iloilo City leg features the works of well-recognized Ilonggo artists, namely: Kristoffer Brasileño, Jeanroll Ejar, Tyrone Dave Espinosa, Orland Espinosa, and Melvin Guirhem.
The exhibit likewise features the work of guest artist Sam Penaso.
The exhibition promises to be more than just a display of art; it is a heartfelt celebration of gratitude, collaboration, and the transformative power of creative expression. As visitors step into the exhibition, they are suddenly immersed in the beautiful experience of creative diversity and cultural exchange.
Each of the pieces in KALOOB carry a unique story and the collection offers a combination that challenge the aesthetics of both figuration and abstraction, reflecting the rich cultural landscape of the region.

The works honor the beauty of life and express gratitude to the Creator – the one source of all the creative wonders that encompass us all. The charity exhibition likewise serves as a celebration of winning moments, inclusivity, and freedom.
