Geraldo and Pama on treachery and betrayal
In the tangled web of human emotions, few themes resonate as profoundly as love, trust, and betrayal. These intricate threads weave together in the fabric of relationships, shaping the very essence of the human experience. Within the narrative of betrayal, one figure stands out with unparalleled complexity: Scariot.
Judas Iscariot (shortened to Scariot when spoken) embodies the archetype of betrayal, where he transcends as a symbol, a mirror reflecting the universal truths of human nature, and his betrayal of trust serves as a cautionary tale, reminding us of the consequences when faith is misplaced or manipulated. A poignant metaphor for the fractures that plague human relationships—be they personal, communal, or international.
Scariot’s story of betrayal draws parallels to some of history’s most harrowing chapters—Nazi atrocities, the tale of Cain and Abel, and the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict—events that metaphorize betrayal.
The subject is presented in evocative imagery by Joe Geraldo and Mikiboy Pama to show that, as humans, we navigate the complexities of human moralities, and the works remind the audience of the fragility of trust and the corrosive qualities of treachery and betrayal. Iscariot challenges us to confront the dark facets of humans—envy, resentment, and greed—moral qualities that may be deemed dormant within us yet functioning in the shadows.
Sinamo, the blending of art forms
The group exhibition “Sinamo” celebrates the boundless beauty of human ingenuity by showcasing a diversity of works by artists hailing from various backgrounds and wielding distinct artistic styles. Sinamo stands as a testament to the unifying power of creativity. The works ignite conversations that transcend individual disparities, weaving a tapestry of artistic brilliance that reflects the intricacies and depth of the human condition.
“Sinamo” is a Hiligaynon colloquial that has various meanings depending on the context, but it generally means mixture, fusion, or blending—like a fusion of various flavors on food, a mixture of different people in a crowd, or a blending of good qualities.

From the striking strokes of paintings down to the intricate contours of sculptures, Sinamo offers artistic interpretations with each of the pieces, like a window into a singular perspective and narrative. Amidst a world often divided, this exhibition emerges as a beacon of solidarity, underscoring the potency of unity, diversity, and the transformative essence of art in bridging divides, nurturing empathy, and instigating positive transformation. It serves as a poignant reminder that art flourishes when boundaries are dissolved, cultures intermingle, and artists boldly venture into the unexplored realms of human imagination.
Sinamo is an immersion in artistic amalgamation, showing that inspiration knows no bounds and only reveals the infinite possibilities when artists and art forms converge in harmony.
