ART TALK at ILOMOCA with 4 renowned Filipino artists
Four renowned artists, Manny Garibay, Otto Neri, Renato Habulan, and Orley Ypon will give an Art Talk at The Box, Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art (ILOMOCA), on March 10, 2023, from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
The Art Talk, titled Artists Determining New Task in Philippine Contemporary Art, was announced by Joebert Uygongco of My Secret Art Shop in a Facebook post dated March 9 and invited stakeholders to join the learning event as the four invited artists will “discuss how artists can get closer toward shared aspirations and achieve unity among themselves.”
Ahead of the Art Talk, Garibay, Neri, Habulan, and Ypon visited the newly-opened Adoro Gallery and Museum of Ilonggo art collector Edwin Valencia, followed by a dinner conversation with another art collector, Arsenio Rafael III of Musée d’Arsie, together with Ilonggo artists, and they visited the home studio of award-winning Ilonggo artist Cezar Arro.
Earlier this week, the four artists were in Bacolod City for an art conversation at the Art District, Lopues Annex in Mandalagan, organized by the Orange Project. They were joined by Daniel Dela Cruz and Mark Justiniani.
