ART TALK at The Box of the Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art (ILOMOCA) will have artists Roselle Perez and Manny Montelibano.
This is part of the program of the collaborative exhibit between Western Visayas and Metro Manila artists – Kaon Na Ta! | A Melding of Visual Flavors.

A discussion which highlights the artist’s practice, with a focus on the role of personal experiences. Rooted in psychology, Roselle’s works explore themes like identity, memory, language, and transformation.

This relates to a series of works of Manny Montelibano with the use of thermal moving image. The Temperatura series records visual temperatures of local scenes, like the zoo, a fire, scenes from the beach, traffic, palm Sunday, models, and recently the Mater Dolorosa work which is part of the Kaon na Ta exhibition at the Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art.

๐๐ค๐จ๐๐ก๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฏ is a new media artist who works primarily with video and photography. Born and raised in Negros Occidental, Perez moved to the United Kingdom at the age of sixteen and now lives and works between the two countries. Her works are rooted in psychological concepts that explore themes of identity, memory, language and transformation. Perez often employs decay and distortion on fragmented and intimate images to create portraits of the interrelationships between people and their relationship with reality and time.
๐๐๐ฃ๐ฃ๐ฎ ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ก๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ค is a Filipino inter media artist who focuses his works on the psychology of current social, political, economic, and religious structures. Asides from being a video and sound installation artist, he is a film and stage director, and a cultural worker.
