Adoro Gallery Museum mark the season of giving with Dagyaw 2025
As the season of giving unfolds, Adoro Gallery Museum once again opens its doors to the community through Dagyaw 2025—an art-for-a-cause exhibition that brings together creativity, compassion, and the spirit of shared generosity.
Adoro Gallery Museum Dagyaw exhibition through the years
Dagyaw, which first opened in December 2023, has since become an annual year-end event. Its inaugural exhibition, organized in collaboration with Tin-aw Art Projects, featured works by 40 Visayan artists.
In 2024, the exhibition expanded to showcase 50 artists, with proceeds benefiting the Valencia Family Foundation, Inc. and the Assumption Iloilo Educational Foundation, Inc. (AIEF).
This year’s, Dagyaw presents a more intimate collection, highlighting varied sizes of artworks by 26 artists. Proceeds from the exhibition will support the UP Visayas Foundation, Inc., assistance for earthquake and typhoon survivors in Cebu, and the Valencia Family Foundation, Inc.

Inspired by the Bisaya and Hiligaynon word for communal spirit, cooperation, and shared endeavor, Dagyaw seeks to bring together artists from the region in a celebration of diverse interpretations and cultural expressions. The exhibition draws from the bayanihan spirit, underscoring the belief that collective effort can overcome adversity.
This philanthropic initiative reflects the spirit behind the name “Adoro,” a Spanish and Portuguese word meaning “I adore.” The name captures the Valencia Family’s love for art and their commitment to using art as a means of extending care and support to communities in need.

Adoro also holds personal significance, being a portmanteau of the names of the Valencia family matriarch, Adoracion, and patriarch, Doroteo.
The gallery stands as a manifestation of the family’s vision to share art with Iloilo City and to leave a lasting legacy to the city and its arts community.
Adoro Gallery-Museum is located at Prime Estate Subd., La Paz, Iloilo City. Visits are by appointment, and for scheduling, you may contact 0998-534-3227.
