The exhibition Profiles and Blooms explores the intersection of art and medicine, manifesting the artistic expression and voices of medical practitioners alongside clinical work or after clinic and hospital tasks; hence, the name “After Clinic Group.”
The exhibition showcases portraits and floral art – paintings, digital print, and potteries in vibrant colors evoking vitality and positive energy.
This captivating collection seamlessly intertwines the human experience with the natural world, offering a profound exploration of both personal and collective identities. The portraits serve as intimate windows into the souls of individuals, capturing not just their physical likeness, but their essence, emotions, and stories. Each face speaks volumes, inviting the viewer to connect with the deep complexities of human life.
Complementing these striking images is a series of floral works, which symbolize growth, resilience, and the fleeting nature of beauty. The delicate blooms mirror the ever-changing journey of life, reflecting the fragility and strength inherent in both nature and humanity.
Together, these powerful elements create a dialogue that celebrates the richness of life in all its forms. The collection invites viewers to reflect on the profound connections between people and the natural world, encouraging a deeper understanding of the shared experiences that bind us all.
Profiles and Blooms at Book Latte Galleryopened November 8, 2024 and it will be on show until November 21, 2024. Book Latté Gallery is located at the G/F Festive Walk Parade.
